Job Purpose:

  1. Conduct market research to identify rural banking opportunities and gather insights for product development.
  2. Responsible for overseeing the sales strategy with a focus on promoting group accounts, group lending products, and fostering partnerships within the community.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. With collaboration of Product team, Identify and cultivate partnerships with local organizations, NGOs, and other entities to expand Bank’s reach and impact.
  2. With collaboration of Marketing team, conduct market research to identify opportunities for growth, assess competition, and gather insights for product development.
  3. Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve targets for group accounts, group deposits and lending products. Provide leadership and guidance to the branch sales team and RO/RMs at HQ ensuring they meet individual and collective sales objectives.
  4. Promote group proposition and other financial services to rural and urban market effectively communicating the benefits and features to potential clients.
  5. Build and maintain strong relationships with groups/community members, groups/community leaders, and other stakeholders to enhance the organizations presence and reputation.
  6. In support of Human Resources department, train and develop the sales team on group banking products, sales techniques, and customer relationship management.
  7. Implement performance metrics and regularly monitor and evaluate the teams performance, providing feedback and coaching as necessary.
  8. Prepare and submit regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and other relevant metrics to the senior management team.

Knowledge and Skills:

  1. Strong knowledge on BI tools,
  2. Strong knowledge on Microsoft Excel and other Office packages and Presentation skills. Reporting and presentations Skills,
  3. Good critical thinking skills and exercise sound judgment
  4. Banking products knowledge
  5. Leadership skills
  6. Strong in relationship management
  7. Problem Solving,
  8. Analytical Thinking,
  9. Verbal and Written Communication Skills,
  10. Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills
  11. Team player
  12. Proven experience in product development and a track record of achieving sales targets.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Atleast 4 years’ banking operations experience preferably in a sales role or group banking.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business related studies or equivalent
